The small church known as "Tubini Chapel" in Kadıköy, which was renovated by the Episcopate of the Latin Catholic Church of Istanbul, was consecrated and opened for worship on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 17.30 hours by His Excellency Mons. Massimiliano Palinuro blessed and opened for worship.
After the consecration of the Altar and the Church with holy oil, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary was celebrated.
Priests from St. Maria Draperis Church, priests from Moda Assomption Church, Chancelier Fr. Lucian Abalintoaiei from Büyükdere Church and Vartabet Mikail Uçar, the abbot of Surp Levon Church, along with nuns and parishioners attended the Mass.
After the altar was consecrated with holy oil, a fragment of the Holy Cross was placed in it as a Holy Relic.
